We already know that Tamil is an ancient language in the world. Not only literature, ancient Tamil people are also experts in space research. They calculated the path of planets of our solar system in 12 squares. And those predictions and calculations of planets moving are still correct in today's also. I explained a little bit in my previous article in the name of Pluto is not the planet of our solar system - Proof from tamil astrology.
Tamil astrology history is described as follows in ancient literature. Lord Muruga invented astrology theory and explained first to his father Lord Shiva. But Lord Shiva teared that theory and throwed to 4 different places of the world. The south side piece is taken by Agathiyar and was developed in recent astrology.
Astrology is the theory which depends on space planets which can be seen from Earth. From Earth, we can see Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. The main thing is these planets were invented in later periods by Galilio, Kepler like scientists with the help of telescope. But ancient people of India discovered those planets and derived those travel patterns even before Christ without any developed instruments like telescopes, binoculars, etc.
The ancient people divided the Space into 12 parts. They are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Saggitaruis, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Each part is called as Raasi which has 30 Degrees (360/12=30). And they found 27 Stars and distributed tothese 12 parts. Every Rassi has 3 or 4 stars. The another one important matter is that our ancient people are very much clear to distinguish between stars and Planets with naked eye.
Now let me take every planet and compare between astrology and astronomy. The first one is Sun. In science, Sun is a star. But astrology considers the sun as a planet. And based on sun position only, tamil calendar has 12 months. Every 1st day of tamil month, sun will be in center of respective part which was divided already. Our Tamil calendar starts in Chithirai (2nd half of April and 1st half of May). That time the Sun will be Aries part in space. On the 1st of Chithirai month, Sun is in the position at the middle of the Aries part. Similarly Sun will be at Taurus in Vaigaasi, at Gemini in Aani and so on. Without any scientific instruments, they derived the sun path theoretically before 2000 years ago and till now it is working without any wrong assumption.
Next one is the Moon. In space astronomy, the moon is a natural satellite of Earth. But ancient people consider the Moon is also a planet. And Very important thing is within the last 400 years only, science finds the Moon rotates the Earth for 27.3 Days. But 2000 years ago, our ancient people derived that the moon is travelling in 27 days and each day it stays at one star. I already mentioned Ancient people found 27 stars. So they concluded that each star moon will stand one day and it travels 27 days. This theory is calculated without any space travel and any advanced scientific instruments.
I need to mention another one important matter is full moon day and New moon day. In astrology, When Moon and Sun are in the same part of the astrology square, that day is called the new Moon Day. In space science also, If the moon comes between Sun and Earth, that day is New Moon Day. And In astrology, if the Moon is at the 7th place from the sun means that day is known as Full Moon day. Because in astrology 7th place is on the opposite side. Similar to since. If Earth is between and Sun and Moon, that day is Full moon day.
The next planet in astrology is Mars. We called it Sevvaai. In astrology, Mars's colour is Red. It's true in Science research also due to red soil on Mars. In Indian temples, Mars idols are covered by red or saffron cloths. As I said, the Sun will stand for 30 days in a part(Raasi). Similar to that, Mars will stand for 45 days in a part(Raasi). Because in Science also, Mars is nearer to our Earth. So there is little different in rotation to the Sun. Here also our ancient people proved that their knowledge in colour and the travelling path of Mars.
The next planet is Mercury which is called 'Budhan' in Astrology. The travelling of sun and mercury through 12 parts is same which means that Sun and Mercury is closer to each other. They proved that this theory in 2000 years ago. But it is identified and proved by science in last 400 years only. In Tamil there is a statement called "pon kidaithallum Puthan Kidaikathu (Even we can get gold. But we cannot mercury)". Because Mercury is nearer to the Sun. Due to the sun's brightness, we cannot see Mercury. Some day in the evening we can see Mercury if we have powerful eyesight. Then only they called this statement.
The next planet in astrology is Jupiter(Viyaazhan). The two longest time period planets are Jupiter and saturn in astrology. SImilar to science, Jupiter and Saturn are orbiting the sun in the longest elliptical path. That's why these two planets are the longest route in our ancient astrology prediction also. In astrology also Jupiter is the powerful planet. In astrology, Jupiter will stand in 1 year per planet approximately. So it will complete the 12 parts in 12 years. In space science, the Jupiter revolution period is 11.86 years. Nowadays using simulators and advanced instruments, we calculate the revolution period. But without these softwares and instruments, our ancient people predict this time period calculation.
Next Planet is Venus(Velli) in astrology. In astrology, our people consider venus as a man called 'Sukiran'. He loves white colour to wear. But science says that Venus is white planet due to its acetic cloud. And in astrology, Venus travels closely with the Sun in astrological charts. Similar to this In science, Venus is nearer to the Sun compared to Earth. So our ancient people predicted without any wrong assumptions.
Next planet in astrology is Saturn(Sani). As per astrology Saturn will stand every part for 2.5 Years. So as per astrology, Saturn will complete one round will take 30 Years(2.5*12=30). In space science, Scientists calculated that Saturn revolves the sun for 29.46 years. Again I say, Our ancient people did not travel to space or did not have any space simulators. Without any technological developments, They predicted all this calculation.
In science, We have extra two planets are Neptune and Uranus. But in astrology there is no planets pointing to Uranus and Neptune. Because, they could not view Neptune and Uranus from Earth Surface. Or they may consider, Uranus and neptune will not impact in the astrology. But they have other two planets called Rahu and Kethu. But Rahu and Ketu history is used only for Solar eclipse and Lunar eclipse. Because they might be aware of extra two planets. Due to long distance of these two planets, they might not any predict or calculate. But that time they felt that solar eclipse and lunar eclipse were happening. So they might connect Raaghu and Ketu with Solar and Lunar Eclipse.
In their calculation, They experienced these eclipses in new moon days and full moon days. But all full moon and new mood days there are no eclipses. So they calculated imaginary nodes at North and South which are opposite to each other. They calculated those nodes travel in reverse side. As per their calculation, Raaghu or ketu are shared with the Sun and Moon is the same part of the astrology chart, then they saw a solar eclipse. SImilar to Raaghu or Ketu are shared with the Moon and placed in the 7th part from the Sun(Opposite), they saw the Lunar eclipse. In Nature, there is no Rahu and Kethu. But they assumed two oppisite nodes and calculate the Eclipse predictions.
I hope that I compared all the basics of astrological elements with modern space science planets. Again I say that Our ancient people did not have any advanced instruments like telescopes, satellites, space simulators etc. They believed that In space there were many worlds like Earth. But we have not any proof that they did any interstellar travels. But they predicted every planet and their revlovations from Earth space accurately without any wrong calculations. Not only calculation of planets rotations, they believed that planets position will impact on Humans life. I do not take that part. They might warn with planet names those who hate space research at that time. Because not only today, In all time periods there will be barriers to stop new inventions and researches. To stop those barriers, they might threaten those haters using Planets name. But I write this article not to accept or reject the benefits of Astrology. I am saying that our ancient people are the experts in Space science also. And all of their predictions are working without any wrong assumptions after 2000 years also. So finally, I say that we will trust our ancient people's ideologies and will learn those ideologies with modern scientific proofs. Definitely they will lead us to new big inventions in future.
